INVITATION TO FINAL SEMINAR

Working Together for Better Integration – Immigrants, Police and Social Work

  • In what way co-operation between police and social work may promote integration?
  • What kind of competences multicultural work requires?
  • What is the role of immigrants in this co-operation?

Immigrants, Police and Social Work (IPS) –project welcomes you to the final seminar which will be held

  • at The Police College of Finland in Tampere.

The aim of the seminar is to present different examples and experiences concerning the multi-professional work in promoting integration. The focus is on the possibilities for co-operation between immigrants, police and social work in different EU countries.

The seminar is open to all interested and it is free of charge including coffee. The presentations are in English but the discussion may be in English or Finnish.

Immigrants, Police and Social work (IPS) is an EU-project co-financed by European Integration Fund and coordinated by Turku University of Applied Sciences. Project has been conducted in five EU countries: Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the UK between several academic partners - see www.ips-project.fi
